EKS 215a AGV Counterbalanced Walkie Stacker
Jungheinrich EKS 215a is an automated guided vehicle based on the vertical order picker. Combining innovative automation and accurate navigation technology to ensure reliability and efficiency. The EKS can be used in operation with both manual trucks and pedestrians. It also can be integrated into existing factory structures or new buildings to provide more efficiency in transport processes. Jungheinrich AGV's use lasers for pinpoint accuracy with navigation within the warehouse. No floor work is required, they use of reflectors attached to objects along traveling routes, like racking, columns, or walls.
The EKS 215a AGV is based on the electrical vertical order picker from Jungheinrich, an extensively tested truck now combined with full automation and navigation. In addition to the reliability of the vertical order picker from Jungheinrich, the EKS 215a also includes other advantages like:
- 48 Volt three-phase technology for longer run times without a battery charge
- Energy and battery management technology
- Energy recovery during braking and lowering
- wear-free inversion brake
- TUV-certified control systems (CAN bus)
The EKS is equipped with personal protection scanner located in the drive and load direction. This scans for any obstacles in the travel route and if there is an obstacle, it will come to a stop in front of it. In addition, it will also scan ahead before taking a corner to ensure the maximum safety at all blind spots. The navigation is set to a high degree of precision to allow for pinpoint accuracy of the truck within its defined traveling area.
AGV's can be easily integrated into existing IT and network landscapes. It uses the existing WLAN structure for communication to the EKS 215a. If there is already another WMS or WMS/ERP system in place, the AGV can be easily integrated into the system via the Logistics Interface.
